Ink N’ Ivy is a popular brunch and nightlife hotspot in Charlotte. I finally had the opportunity to try it when I was uptown for CLT Shout last month and it did not disappoint.

I never thought my first time visiting Ink N’ Ivy would be during a family outing, but there I was with my son, sister, and nephews. I was pleasantly surprised with their food options; definitely something for everyone on their menu!

After carefully analyzing their menu, I opted for their shrimp tacos which were absolutely fabulous! Their crema and red onion add a nice kick to this classic.

My nephew opted for every kid’s go-to at any restaurant, chicken tenders, and French fries! I’m not big on chicken tenders but these looked so juicy and fresh that I just had to bite! Verdict? Off the charts!

The Mac & Cheese, however, was the show’s real star! According to my 5-year-old son, it’s the best he’s had and I can second that!

As for drinks, I tried a mimosa, but it was too light for me. Round 2, I ordered a Margarita, and it was just right!

I would surely recommend Ink N’ Ivy for families during the daytime! Fantastic food, beautiful and unique decor, and a casual ambiance in uptown Charlotte.
